    G. Thomas Schultz was superintendent of one of the highest-performing and internationally recognized regional career technical center in the United States. His district was designated as one of 75 “Schools of Promise” in the country by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and one of 25 “Model Schools” in the United States by the International Center for Leadership in Education.

    Tom has over 38 years of experience in career-technical education leadership and has devoted the last seven years to educational consulting. He served as a U.S. Delegate to the International Technical Committee for ISO232 Educational Services for the Development of International Standards for Technical Education. Tom has also been appointed to numerous national committees for career-technical education in Washington, D.C. and is a graduate of National Governors’ Association, National Policy Academy.

    Tom is recognized as a leader in strategic planning and strategic implementation of organizational change and cultural transformation. He has presented at more than 100 national and state events on topics including career-technical education, educational leadership, STEM education, 21st Century Skills, educational technology, and online learning.

    On the social side, Tom enjoys traveling, eating good food, drinking good wine, and spending quality time with friends and family. He is also our resident wine expert and is often referred to as the Guru of Food, Wine & Entertainment.

    Kristy Warrell Senior Account Manager

    Kristy Warrell joined Tools for Schools in December 2002. She has over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications with various industries. In her role as Senior Account Manager, Kristy enthusiastically handles the marketing needs of our clients throughout the country. Her experience and knowledge of education marketing make her one of a kind and our clients love her top-notch customer service. She counts it a privilege to be a part of such a great team and looks forward to a successful future.

    Kristy and her husband have two children. She loves to volunteer with her children’s school and activities and in her free time she enjoys exercising, traveling, cooking, and gardening. She is also an avid reader.

    Matt Perna Account Executive

    Matt Perna joined Tools for Schools in July 2009. Besides being one of the resident Millennials, he builds and implements web and social media strategies that increase student engagement for our clients across the country. The cornerstone of these strategies is the EnrollTrack™ Online Enrollment System, which Matt was instrumental in developing. He takes pride in cultivating strong relationships with our clients and providing personalized customer service whenever it is needed. Matt believes in the core values of TFS and enjoys the positive impact we have on student success.

    When not assisting clients or leading meetings, Matt likes to spend his time playing with his baby daughter, watching movies, and reading books.

    Greg Scheetz joined Tools for Schools in January 2012. He brings 25+ years of graphic design experience to the team, and enjoys working on a variety of projects at TFS. He says, “It’s very rewarding creating a unique look and design direction for every one of our clients. I make sure that look carries consistently across each piece we do for them. It’s their brand, their connection to potential and current students, so we want to make sure it’s professional, eye-catching, and helps create that sense of excitement.”

    Greg enjoys spending his free time with his wife, family, friends and 3 dogs. A wide variety of pursuits — music, movies, games, tiki bars, toys, Bigfoot (it’s true) and anything Apple-related — all interest and inspire him. He has been a long-time volunteer and team captain with the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life event.

    Christine has been with Tools for Schools since October 2005 and she’s been known to say this is the best job she’s ever had! Her greatest satisfaction is hearing our clients say how happy they are with our services and how we are helping them reach their goals. Every aspect of her day, from catalog design and layouts to postcard and brochure mailings, has been a learning experience and no two days are alike. She is honored to be a part of the TFS team and looks forward to many more years of serving our clients!

    Christine is also the mother to an amazing son who puts the smile in her day. In her free time, she likes to go camping, try out new recipes in the kitchen, browse antique shops and flea markets, and spend time with family and friends.

    Amy Timco has been working with TFS since 2006, transitioning to a dedicated copywriting role in 2011. As the team’s marketing strategist and wordsmith, she relishes conceptualizing and creating messages that reflect the unique voice of each client. Seeing her words come alive in Greg’s fabulous designs — and then seeing the powerful results those designs produce — is highly satisfying. She also has fun operating as the resident grammar police on sticky syntactical questions.

    In addition to her copywriter persona, Amy is a committed Christian, voracious reader, incorrigible book sale shopper, and happy wife and mother. She also enjoys serving in her local church, writing and performing music, and watching movies.
