CLEVELAND, OHIO, March 11, 2015 — Tools for Schools™ (TFS) announced its newest service, Instructional Technology Planning, which has joined the company’s expansive portfolio of products and services geared toward the education market. The new service, which was created to meet the complex technology needs of educational organizations, is now commercially available after the successful completion of its pilot project with Moore Norman Technology Center.
Company founder Mark C. Perna says, “Our latest service, Instructional Technology Planning, allows educational organizations to effectively plan their technology purchases over the next five years while giving them a defined plan for upgrades and technology enhancements. No one else offers this level of review, analysis, teacher input, and reporting.”
The TFS Instructional Technology Planning service includes a thorough examination of current technology and points of pain, with on-site program reviews and staff interviews. A strategic Instructional Technology Plan is then created that makes specific recommendations for individual programs based on industry standards, provides baseline data, and outlines the steps to achieve the preferred future for the district’s instructional technology. Technology team coaching, data-driven decision-making tools, and ongoing professional development will also be delivered as part of the service.
